2016 Honda CBR1000RR

Also known as the Fireblade this powerful motorcycle is produced since 2004. This sport bike powered by a four-cylinder engine represents the seventh generation of the RR series launched back in 1992. During ten years the model has been refreshed for two times. The last upgrade was made in 2008. So, for Honda it’s time to think of some changes in this point. Indeed, there is information that the manufacturer is going to introduce a new version of the Fireblade soon. To be more competitive on the market the Japanese giant will release the 2016 Honda CBR1000RR equipped with the most advanced technologies and devices.

The Fireblade combines stunning power and unique refined design attracting a lot of bikers all over the world. Among its qualities are convenient seat, easy power control, good headlights, well-reacting brakes and hydraulic clutch. With both the appearance and technical specifications it is capable to rival such recognized models as the Suzuki GSX-R1000, Kawasaki ZX-10R,
Aprilia RSV4 and Yamaha YZF-R1.

The 2016 Honda CBR1000RR will come slightly smaller and lighter. The bike will get lightweight wheels with a new design. The wheelbase of 1410 mm and soft compound tires provides good riding on any type of surfaces and full control even at the sharpest corners. There will be more space for the rider due to a new airbox integrated into the frame. Another innovation is cam-controlled system. It allows equipping the motorcycle with a bigger engine.

The bike will also feature the C-ABS braking system providing electronic control over the two wheels. It will ensure the best braking even in off-road conditions.

For better control the Fireblade will have an informative LCD gauge set including a fuel-consumption and trip computer, lap timer, gear-position indicator with peak-rpm recording and five-mode shift indicator.

According to some sources, the new Fireblade will have a 999 cc inline-four engine with a liquid cooling system. This power unit is able to generate 153 horsepower with redline of 12,000 rpm as well as 106 N-m of torque. Its overall weight is over 200 kg. With this engine the motorcycle can accelerate from rest to 100 km/h just in 2.5 seconds and reach an amazing top speed of 280 km/h.

Both front and rear of the Honda CBR1000RR are equipped with advanced suspension elements. The front 43-mm fork and the rear Unit Pro-Link system are smoother with good responsiveness.
